Looking for a creamy tuna salad without mayo, then we have got you! You don’t need mayo to make a creamy and delicious tuna salad. We use Greek yoghurt and olive oil in this recipe along with some fresh herbs and spices to really pack in the flavour. It is fresh, tasty and super quick to throw together. A great option for meal prep and we love to have it for packed lunches during the week, either on a bed of salad, in a wrap or with some crackers.

Ingredients to make tuna salad without mayo
The secret to a creamy tuna salad without mayo is Greek yoghurt! Of course, you want just plain Greek yoghurt that is unflavoured and unsweetened. You can use full-fat or reduced-fat Greek yoghurt, both work well in this recipe, so use whichever you prefer. We also love to add fresh herbs, lemon juice and some spices to give our tuna salad without mayo a flavour boost.
We prefer to use canned tuna in spring water, which we then drain well. The ingredients in the canned tuna we use are usually just tuna, spring water and salt. We like the Sirena brand as they only use pole and line-caught tuna, which is better for the ocean.
Here are the ingredients we use in our tuna salad without mayo;
- canned tuna in springwater, well drained
- Greek yoghurt
- extra virgin olive oil
- fresh chives
- fresh parsley
- lemon juice
- garlic powder
- salt & pepper
