We received our January Keto Toolbox and have provided the details of all the products included below. Check out the value of the items in the box and our reviews.
As much as we love supporting Australian keto-friendly small businesses, we have cancelled our subscription for the Keto Toolbox going forward. Check out why below. We also have a review of the December Keto Toolbox if you are interested.
Product – Keto Toolbox January Box

COST
$59 – $79 depending on the subscription type you choose.
JANUARY BOX ITEMS
Nutra Organics – Pink Himalayan Crystal Salt RRP$6.95 for 600g bag
We love using pink Himalayan salt in all our cooking and always have some in the pantry, so we will definitely use this. Given this salt is readily available in major supermarkets,
I was a little disappointed to find it included in the Keto Toolbox this month. I subscribed to the box to access new and difficult to find specialty keto products and I don’t feel this product falls into that category.
Banting Food co – Goji & Cacao Muesli RRP$12.95 for 315g bag
This muesli is 2.7g of carbs per 45g serve, which is great for a muesli! Love the addition of goji berries and hazelnuts. It would make a nice crunchy topping to a chia pudding or perhaps with some coconut yoghurt.
I would probably prefer a bit more cinnamon, just because I love it. If you would like to try your making your own muesli give our Nut & Seed Granola a go.
Zero Slim & Healthy Noodles – Organic Konjac Fettuccini Style RRP$3.65 for 400g packet
We love having konjac noodles when we are having a pasta craving, especially with a bacon and mushroom creamy sauce. This will be added to our meal plan over the next few weeks for sure. Konjac noodles are readily available at major supermarkets in Australia which is great.
Again, I was a little disappointed to find these included in the Keto Toolbox this month. I subscribed to the box to access new and difficult to find specialty keto products and I don’t feel this product falls into that category.
Melrose Health – MCT Oil RRP$14.95 for a 250mL bottle
We have never tried liquid MCT oil before, so I am excited this was included in the January box. I will need to do some research about how I can include this in some of our meals or perhaps a smoothie.
I have tried coconut oil in my hot drinks before and I don’t like the oil slick on the top. We prefer powdered MCT oil in our coffee and tea as it dissolves easily and is less messy.

Kitz Living Foods – Fresh Herb Dulse & Spirulina Crackers RRP$9.75 for 100g packet
Seed crackers are such a great addition to a low carb lifestyle to give you some crunch! We have tried a few products from Kitz over the years and they always have such clean ingredients which is great. Another great seed cracker option are Mia Ringsparr crackers.
Dr Jays Gourmet – Traditional Beef Jerky RRP$4.00 for 40g bag
I haven’t tried this one yet, but it is not easy to find a jerky that doesn’t have sugar in it, so this one looks great.

Foodie Fee – Double Cacao Chia RRP$11.49 for a 325g bag (5 serves)
This product is 27.7g of carbs per serve plus you need to add nut milk to make it, which would have additional carbs. Given the high carbohydrate count in this product I would not consider it keto-friendly, and will not be eating it.

TOTAL VALUE OF THE ITEMS IN THIS BOX IS $63.74
I was charged $63.10 for this months box, so the value of the items does slightly exceed what I paid. However, the Double Cacao Chia mix is too high in carbohydrates to be considered keto-friendly, so I will not be using that product worth $11.49.
In both the December and January box we received one product that would not be considered keto-friendly, which is really disappointing when this box is marketed specifically as keto. Due to this, I have cancelled my Keto Toolbox subscription going forward.
Note: This isn’t a paid post. This is a product we have purchased and reviewed independently.
