I love the idea of a subscription box as it is like a box full of surprises delivered to your door every month. Even better when it is full of keto-friendly surprises that can be difficult to find at your local shops.
I was excited to see that Keto Toolbox was launching in Australia in December and took advantage of their opening special to secure a box. Check it out below.
Product – Keto Toolbox December Box

Cost
$59 – $79 depending on the subscription type you choose.
December Box Items
First impressions – the packaging and leaflet included was very professional looking and attractive. The coconut oil had leaked slightly, but it was still fine and hadn’t impacted any of the other products.
I was a little disappointed not to have received the muesli featured on the leaflet, but I received the seed cracker mix instead. It is great that the box includes all full sized products and not samples!
Bake Mixes – Raw Cacao Bliss Balls Mix RRP $12.95 for 200g bag
This seemed like a strange addition to a Keto Toolbox as the instructions required either maple syrup or dates to be added to make the bliss balls. I would prefer the products be specifically suitable for keto, or provide a keto-friendly option in the directions.
I made this mix up with 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 8-10 drops of stevia and a pinch of salt. They were kind of like a very hard coconut rough ball more than a chewy bliss ball. I wouldn’t purchase this product myself.
Banting Food co – Dukka Salad Seeds RRP $8.00 for 200g bag
These are great! A nice flavourful crunchy topping for any salad. Would purchase these again.
Melinda’s Gluten Free Goodies – Low Carb Seed Cracker Mix RRP $6.00 for 200g box
Love seed crackers with my lunch and they can be expensive to buy so I was glad to receive these. You only need to add water to the mix and they seem very straight forward to make. I haven’t had a chance to make these crackers yet, but I will report back once I do.
Extraordinary Foods – Pimp My Salad: Sea Superfoods Sprinkles RRP $7.95 for 110g jar
We had ordered the Extraordinary Foods Super Seed Sprinkles previously from Low Carb Emporium and enjoyed the tasty crunch they added to our salads.
So I was interested to try the Sea Superfoods variety which I would not normally choose. They do have a strong seaweed taste on their own, but on a salad add more of a savoury salty crunch.
Pepe Saya – Ghee (oil of milk) RRP $12.00 for 190g jar
I was very excited to see this included in the box for December as I love Pepe Saya butter, but have not tried the ghee before. Ghee is great for high heat cooking, instead of butter, as it will not burn as easily. It adds a lovely buttery flavour too.
Niugini Organics – Organic Virgin Coconut Oil RRP $10.95 for 320mL jar
This is the brand of coconut oil we usually use at home, so it was a welcome inclusion. We like to use it when making fat bombs, desserts or if we are doing any keto-friendly baking. It is also a great heat stable fat for high heat cooking, although I will generally only use it in Asian or Indian dishes due to the flavour.

Total value of the items in this box is $57.85
We ordered this box when they had a special deal running and only paid $39.00 for our first box. The normal monthly subscription price is $69.00 including shipping. I realise if I purchased all these items separately and needed to pay shipping on each one the total cost would be much more than $57.85.
However, I still feel that if I had paid $69 for this box that I would like products included to be worth at least that amount. This has been the case for other subscription boxes (not keto/low carb related) that I have received previously. Overall I am happy with the products included for the first Keto Toolbox and I am excited to see what the January box delivers.
Note: This isn’t a paid post. This is a product we have purchased and reviewed independently.

Keto toolbox is unprofessional company that will send out damamged boxes, continue to take out money even after cancelling your subscription and not reply to any messages or emails that you’ve sent them for months requesting a refund.
That is not a great thing to hear. We cancelled our box after two deliveries as we felt it wasn’t worth it.
