Coffee is such a staple in many people’s morning routine. In the keto community bulletproof coffee is a bit of a religion for some! When travelling in California and Portland we found it very easy to get cold brew coffee everywhere. When we got home Erika just had to learn how to make cold brew coffee.

How to Make Cold Brew Coffee
Once you learn how easy it is to make your own cold brew coffee you won’t need to buy your own again. In my Opinion, the hardest part is grinding your own coffee beans. The reason we grind our own is we like to control the coarseness of the grind.
Coffee when travelling
We have started to prefer cold brew coffee when we are travelling. It is an easy option to buy when travelling as you can control the cream that you added to it. Once we got back we wanted to find out how to make cold brew coffee at home. It’s perfect served over ice with some cream or nut milk on a warm summers day.
Equipment
- Large glass jar (at least 1.5L)
- Nut milk bag
- Sieve
- Cheesecloth or paper towel
Ingredients
- 100g ground coffee, medium to coarse grind
- 1L filtered water
Serving Suggestions
Serve the coffee over ice black or with milk or cream of your choice. It is great with homemade nut milk. This is Erika’s favourite way to have her coffee.
Use it to make Keto Coffee Ice Blocks. These are great to have in the freezer for a warm summers day.
Add a shot of the cold brew coffee to a smoothie or a frappe for an extra caffeine hit.
Add a scoop of Perfect Keto Chocolate collagen for a delicious mocha.

What coffee do you use?
I love cold brew and after seeing your kitchenaid cold brew jug I had to have one. Makes it so much easier to brew. Find cold brew much better for my stomach too.
Erika really likes her cold brew.
I made the brewed coffee and I keep in a beautiful pyrex coffee pot in the fridge and every morning I make myself an iced brewed coffee and take it with me to work. Love it thanks again for a great idea
Sounds like a great idea
I have been drinking cold brew for several years now as it is low acid and agrees with my digestive system. I however heat up the morning coffee, depending on the weather in Northern California!
Love heating mine up when it is cooler here to Pat. Have you tried making your own?
