Bulletproof drinks are VERY popular in the keto and low carb community. Erika has a bulletproof coffee most days but I have never been a coffee drinker. I have seen others making bulletproof tea, but I prefer my tea black and straight up.

With having some digestive issues I have been trying to find a way to incorporate bone broth into my daily routine to assist with my gut health. I decided to try and make a bulletproof bone broth.

Erika loves to add the to her bulletproof coffee so I decided to add this along with some salt, butter and collagen powder to make my version of a bulletproof drink.

We like to make our own broth and a batch usually lasts me about a week. Check out our how to make bone broth step by step guide. We also like to have some of this Meadow and Marrow bone broth in the fridge for when we have run out of our home made broth.

Now, I am going to let you guys into a little secret. I discovered a way to take this drink to the next level. One day I decided to add some saved bacon grease instead of the butter. OMG. Wow. It was like I was drinking bacon! If you cook some bacon, always make sure you save the fat. Add a tablespoon of the bacon grease instead of the butter. Trust me. It is totally worth it.

This drink is great to have any time, but I prefer to have it before I go to work instead of having breakfast. It means I can prolong eating food till lunchtime.

Having this drink daily has definitely helped with my gut health and improved my bowel movements to become a much more regular occurrence.
