This list of easy keto dessert recipes includes custards, cheesecakes, cakes, slices, chocolate and many other quick and easy keto desserts. We went out looking for easy ways to make keto desserts and boy did we found some!
Easy keto desserts
There are tons and tons of keto desserts out there now. If you have a craving for any of your old favourites, it is highly likely one of your favourite keto bloggers has created an excellent keto version of that dessert. Whilst we LOVE many of these recipes, some of them are not the easiest to make and require some advanced cooking techniques or 100 ingredients to make them.
We wanted to come up with a list of wonderful and delicious keto desserts that were easy to make and only needed a few ingredients to put together. When we were creating this list, we decided to use the qualifying factor of could Dan make it? I am not the chef at Have Butter will travel, Erika is. She decided if she thought I could make it, then that would qualify it as an easy dessert.
Can you eat dessert on a keto diet?
If you are new to the ketogenic way of life, you may be thinking, wait a second, how can I eat dessert on a keto diet? I thought I had to remove all sugars from my life. Enter the joy of sweeteners. There are a few sweeteners that are common with a ketogenic lifestyle. Some sweeteners can still spike blood glucose levels in certain individuals, so we always recommend testing to find which sweeteners agree with your body.
We have always preferred the Sukrin brand of sweeteners, which is an erythritol and stevia blend. Other sweeteners that we have used are monk fruit, xylitol and allulose.
The thing we love about sweeteners is they allow us to enjoy the occasional keto dessert, without having to compromise our keto way of life and choose the carb-heavy version.
Custards
Erika has long been the keto custard queen. She loves custard and has created some wonderful keto custards in her time. The thing we love about a keto custard is that it is practically a fat bomb. It is loaded with healthy fats from the cream and it is so smooth and silky.
Chocolates
Whilst there are now some great keto-friendly chocolate options that you can buy at the supermarket, we love to occasionally make our own. I absolutely love chocolate bark, it is so thin and crispy and allows you to get creative with the flavours. It can be hard to find a low carb flavoured chocolate and this keto chocolate bark is a great, keto-friendly option.
Cheesecakes
Cheesecake is surprisingly easy to make keto-friendly. You can go with baseless options like cheesecake bites or cheesecake fluff or you can opt for an almond flour crust for a more traditional style cheesecake. The cheesecake bites are super simple to make and so great to have on hand for those sweet cravings. Cheesecake is my favourite dessert, so I was delighted when I discovered it is one of the easiest desserts to create a keto version of.
Slices
Slices are one of those types of easy keto desserts that can be a real crowd-pleaser. You can take any of these easy keto slices to a get together with friends or family and you know that everyone will enjoy it. We have served the keto blondies to our friends with some keto ice cream and by the end, there was none left.
Cakes
You may be thinking, wait, a cake can be an easy keto dessert? Erika created this delicious keto lemon cake whilst we were temporarily living with her parents and her Dad absolutely demolished it. We made it a couple of times while living there because it was so easy to put together and even our niece and nephew love it.
Another great keto cake option is mug cakes. They are so simple to put together and the portion size is done for you as it’s all in the one mug. They are extremely popular in the keto community and we have picked a couple of our favourites from Low Carb Maven and Wholesome Yum.
Other Easy to make Keto Desserts
These desserts are some of the easiest keto desserts I found, they just didn’t fit into their own category. The peanut butter mousse only takes 5 minutes to put together and uses everyday keto ingredients. We also love the egg loaf recipe. A hot tip, if you have leftovers, slice some off the loaf and pan fry. It will taste like french toast. Amazing.
So, there you go, 25 quick and easy keto desserts that you can enjoy guilt-free. These keto desserts are great to put together when you are experiencing a sweet craving, or when you are attending a family or friends get together and don’t want to be tempted by the sugar-filled desserts. We do this all the time and I can tell you, our dessert is often the first one gone!
